Music / Choir

Harmonic Choir

The school’s choir, the Harmonic Choir, remains a significant project of the school and whose musical prowess over the years has continuously projected the school to greater heights.

Members of the choir are chosen across ages and classes, creating a strong sense of community among our students with interest in music. The choir have performed at various national programmes under the auspices of agencies like the National Commission for Civic Education and the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.

Over the years, past members of the Harmonic choir have graduated and now have music careers in other choirs and as solo musicians.

Music Lessons

We understand the importance of music in the school curriculum and as such, endeavour to create opportunities for our students to learn and practice a variety of musical instruments.

Currently, within our Creative Arts lessons as well as extra-curricular activities, the following instruments are taught:

  • Piano
  • Drums
  • Brass Band

Musical Album & School Hymnal

The Music Department of the school has consistently produced a variety of musical projects that showcase the choir and the musical skills of our students.

  • In 2015, the Harmonic Choir launched a musical album titled “Yesu Yɛ Madamfo” which was launched in the year 2005 and has since enjoyed air play on some radio stations.

  • The School’s Hymnal was produced by the Music Department of the school which was unveiled during the 20th anniversary celebrations. The Hymnal which includes a collection of different songs, some produced by our Music Department, serves as an engaging learning resource for all students.
